The KWE filter employs premium grade AquaBond activated carbon to remove chlorine, chemicals and taste / odor contaminants. These contaminants are removed through the chemical phenomenon of adsoption and a catalytic reduction reaction. The KWE-5M-KDF also removes lead from water via a "reduction-oxidation" process. The NSF certified KDF media is a high purity copper-zinc filtration media that performs lead filtration and microbial control. Dual layered sediment filtration technology is employed which first filters to 5 micron and then further down to 1 micron. The sanitary cartridge design allows for quick and easy replacement. This filter is an alternative compatible replacement and not an exact replica of the Everpure H-300 filter.
